Helen Falco holds a Master of Science degree in Foods and Nutrition and is a Certified Nutrition Specialist (CNS). She has close to 30 years experience in the food and beverage industry. Her primary focus has been in the areas of scientific and regulatory affairs,with concentration on issues related to nutrition and health policy. Much of Ms. Falco's career has been in the international arena, including 10 years living and working in Europe. During her time in Europe, she Chaired the industry committee* implementing Guideline Daily Amounts (GDA) labeling. She has been employed by The Coca-Cola Company since 2006, as Director of Nutrition and Health Policy, working in a global capacity. Current focus includes global issues related to front-of-pack nutrition labeling, nutrient profiling, national and international dietary guidance, and the scientific substantiation of claims. Ms. Falco serves as head of delegation for the International Council of Beverages Associations (ICBA) at two Codex Alimentarius Committees focused on nutrition and food labeling. She is a Board Member and serves on the Executive Committee for the International Food Information Council and is a member of the Food, Health and Wellness Advisory Panel for the Institute of Food Technologists.
