A report on Food Processing Industry in India

Unleashing the Potential of the Non-alcoholic Beverage Sector

In order to fill a long-standing gap pertaining to information and understanding about the non-alcoholic beverage sector in the country, IBA commissioned a study through the Indian Council for Research on International Economic Relations (ICRIER), New Delhi. Its report “Food Processing Industry in India: Unleashing the Potential of the Non-alcoholic Beverage Sector” was published in December, 2013 and released at a high profile event on December 19, 2013 by the Union Minister of Food Processing Industries. The report provides an overview of the food processing sector in India as also of the Indian non-alcoholic beverage industry, speaks of the global non-alcoholic beverage sector and, with suitable data and analysis, identifies the Barriers and the Way Ahead.
